Hey there,
My name is Damaris, but my clients and friends call me Mary. I’m the owner and master florist of Simply Designed.
Originally from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico, I’ve been living in the sunshine state of Florida for the past 23 years with my loving husband, Robinson, and our two adult children.
All my life I have been known to be a creative and meticulous person, but my love of flowers started at a very young age. My mother had a gorgeous greenhouse full of plants near our home in Puerto Rico. I would spend hours there and remember being inspired by the beauty the flowers brought to our lives. That’s when I knew, I wanted to express my creativity through floral design. I’ve been mastering this artform for over 27 years. Through flowers, I work diligently to express the personalities and unique styles of my clients. My passion for floral art continues to be driven as I witness my creations bring my clients joy, when they see how the designs enhance the beauty of their wedding and event space.
My Story in a nutshell…
In 1995, I completed my studies in Floral Design and Wedding/Event Decor. Since then, I began creating various floral arrangements and designed weddings for family members, friends, and church events as a hobby while I dedicated myself to my family and professional career.
After many years of working in the corporate industry, I realized I was not happy and needed to make a change to fulfill my heart's true desire. So, I decided to take a leap of faith. I said goodbye to my corporate job to follow my dreams and do what I love most. Without a doubt, the best decision I've ever made. I’m beyond elated to share this endeavor with you.
